About Chip

Chip Schotz was born in Chicago, Illinois sometime between 1933 and 1963.

His exact date of birth can’t be determined due to his extensive undercover work with the CIA.

Chip has taught thousands of people how to improve their games of golf but, more importantly, how to be better human beings.

Chipping History

At the tender age of 4 years, Chip began playing golf with his father, Jaeger Schotz, during visitation days at the Joliet Correctional Institution. Mr. Schotz was serving a 8 to 10 stretch for “a misunderstanding.” Chip learned to love golf, slapping a ball around the prison course, listening to his Dad telling funny stories of holdups gone wrong.

Early Days

The Joliet prison course was narrow, putting emphasis on excellent iron work and accurate shotmaking. Occasionally, the guards would fire a machine gun burst over Chip’s head, to teach him to concentrate on each shot.

Chip’s mother, Sand, was a renowned fan dancer, starring in shows on the old Peel & Reveal club circuit. Chip’s education began at St. Francis of Sinatra, just outside Chicago’s loop.

Chip studied Creative Accounting with a minor in Misappropriation, but his true love was always golf. During his University days, Chip also interned at the Fanucci Waste Disposal Company, “unfixing” books.

Living History

In the 1970s, Chip fled the US due to larceny warrants he inherited from his Dad, rulings which were overturned by the Panamanian Supreme Court. During his exile, Chip was invited to play in the East German Golf Tour which was then under Soviet rule.

After a torrid love affair between Chip and Premier Alexei Kosygin’s wife Klavdia, Chip made a run for Turkey, barely making it out alive, and joined the Constantinople Pro Tour.

Chip trained hundreds of Nicaraguan Contras in golf and small arms weaponry—but Chip’s presence during the scandal was a total coincidence. The photos of Chip piloting an arms-loaded aircraft were obviously doctored by the people who were there, taking pictures of Chip piloting the plane.
